This Bach 36B Medium Bore Tenor Trombone, serial #40328, is a single-owner example from the Corporation Era, kept in exceptional condition since the early 1980s. The horn was closet-stored for decades and played only briefly in high school. All lacquer and components are original, with no prior damage or structural repair.
The 8-inch yellow-brass bell remains true and uncreased. The handslide is remarkably fast—one of the best Bach 36 slides we’ve seen in years. Alignment is perfect, compression excellent, and the action effortless. The tuning-slide crook shows a small cosmetic ding, typical of softer yellow brass; it has no effect on performance and was left untouched to preserve originality.
