Founded in 2010 by trombonist Doug Bert, The Brass Exchange is a trusted source for buying, selling, and trading quality brass instruments. Located in St. Louis, Missouri, we serve players across the U.S. and internationally—from seasoned professionals and educators to serious students, hobbyists, and collectors.
All instruments listed on our website are in-stock, fully serviced, and ready for immediate shipment. We specialize in professional trombones, vintage collectibles, and select student-level horns, with an emphasis on condition, playability, and accurate descriptions. Each item is carefully photographed, tested, and prepared so you can buy with confidence.
In addition to sales, we accept trade-ins and offer free instrument evaluations. We also help customers sell their instruments directly through consignment or outright purchase. Our goal is to make the process simple, honest, and fair.
