The Marco Magi NN-TRK was introduced as a premium, lightweight, structured tenor trombone case renowned for its clean exterior lines, compact travel footprint, and handcrafted Italian construction. This archived blue-interior version reflects an earlier production run rarely seen today.
The NN-TRK fits nearly all modern and vintage tenor trombones — straight tenor, medium-bore, and large-bore .547 models with bells up to 8.5". It has been test-fitted with Conn 6H, 78H/79H, 88H/88HO, Bach 16/36/42 variants, King 2B/3B/4B, Courtois AC440, Yamaha Xeno, Shires Q and Custom series (including axial), Edwards, Getzen, and similar designs.
Exterior Construction
The NN-Series shell uses Marco Magi’s signature rugged black synthetic panels—derived from motorcycle-grade seating material—paired with smooth top and bottom leather panels. It is protective, water-resistant, and extremely scuff-resistant.
Interior Construction (Blue Velvet Edition)
This archived model features the earlier navy blue long-loop velvet interior, a soft, durable lining that resists dust and offers excellent protection. The interior design relies on geometry rather than adjustable blocks, keeping the horn secured without fuss.
A lower-lid accessory compartment accommodates essentials like oils, mouthpieces, mutes, or stand lights.
Carrying & Travel Details
The NN-TRK weighs roughly 7 pounds — similar to a Cronkhite-style gig bag but with hard-case structure and significantly more protection.
