Overview

This Vintage King Symphony Model 1485 Tenor Trombone, built in the early 1950s during the H.N. White era, features a 9″ yellow brass bell, rotor attachment, standard handslide, and friction-fit construction. The instrument presented as a clean structural example and was freshly chemical-cleaned and serviced prior to sale.

The horn showed no significant mechanical issues and played reliably following shop preparation. It included a like-new old-stock Protec case and mouthpiece.

King Symphony models from the H.N. White period are respected examples of mid-century American brass manufacturing and remain appreciated by players looking for classic large-bore tenor designs.

Player Perspective
