MARTIN

Martin Committee Trombone Vintage 1940's Make. Martin was making band instruments as early as the year 1902.  Great American Craftsmanship.  This is a Handcraft Committee model.  All original Parts, Lacquer, Case.  This is the real thing.  Has 7" Yellow Brass Bell, Small bore.  If this were a Committee trumpet from the same period it would be in the 3-5K range.  Trumpet collectors and players go wild over Martins from around WWII era.  This is made by the same craftsman that made those legendary trumpets, at the same factory, with the same raw materials.  The first time I played one of these trombones, I immediately felt a warmth in my sound which sort reminded me of a Miles Davis tone, but obviously on trombone.  When you play this horn, you will feel the same vibe.  It's an excellent small bore Jazz horn.  Could be great for lead, solo, improvising, trad jazz for sure.  This one is in very good condition.  The handslide is near perfect, no inner tube plating defects.  This one survived the years and stills plays fantastic.  In-stock for immeditate delivery.
