Lawler

Lawler Custom Trombone with detachable bell flares. Lawler Bell Stem #4, Includes two 8" flares, gold brass and yellow brass.  The rest of the trombone is made with yellow brass alloy, including the outer handslide. Is a straight .525 bore, not a dual bore model, both inner slide tubes are the same diameter.  This .525 Bore includes two removable leadpipes, one is stock by Lawler, the second is M&K drawing .522 bore Conn Style.  Has Satin Lacquer finish.  Single owner horn in perfect condition, minimal signs of use, was not a primary horn for previous professional player.  Includes Lawler Black Nylon detachable flare case, flat, super light and ideal for travel or gigging. Leadpipes take small shank mouthpiece receiver.  Any MP that you would use on a .525 like Bach 36 or Conn 78H would be a perfect choice for this instrument.  Has full array of sound color with lots of stability and core.   I would love to try it in a pit orchestra or in a wedding band.  Big fat bottom and nice projection.  Several friends that play professionally  love their Lawlers. We feel that threaded collars add a little more energy out front.  They definitely impact sound.  French horn players have been using them for decades and has now become the standard.

Lawler retired from instrument making at the end of 2022.  This one was completed in April 2020.  Dealers that carried Lawler were selling this exact package for $3200.  Lawler, while still operating was selling direct from his boutique instrument in the mid $2000-3000 range.
