KING

King 4BF Silversonic 100th Anniversary Model.  Single Owner horn.  Has had full shop service here, including chemical bath and complete once over.  No defects or signs of prior damage.  Handslide is excellent, tension free and without defect.  This is the .547 Bore large tenor by King.  This model commemorated the 100th anniversary of Kings American Craftsmanship.  Has 8.5 solid sterling silver bell, with gold plated inner, and other gold plated parts, Tuning slide, parts of handslide, even the valve cap is gold plated.  Handslide is .547 bore for large shank mouthpiece.  Is an ideal all around tenor for Band, Orchestra, even large bore Jazz.  We like the sterling bells here because they produce an enormous amount of energy and have a crystal clear sound quality.  The additional weigh in the Sterling alloy translates into more energy out front, with outstanding forward projection.

King no longer makes the sterling silver version of this trombone.   But they do make the 4BF legend, brass, which sells new today for $3696.  They do still offer sterling on the 2B and 3B but there is a $1700 upcharge.  So, if you could buy a new 4BF silversonic today, a new price would be $5395.

Includes a new Marco Magi NN Series case.  Here is a link on our website with more info on the NN Series:  https://www.thebrass-exchange.com/content/tenor-trombone-nn-series-large-bore-wf

The original case is also available but the zippers have failed.  The previous owner put outer straps on it.  It certainly works, but it would be nice to have a new gorgeous case without issues on this horn.  We have pictured the original case and will be happy to send it for no extra charge.  Or, if you don't want the Marco, please call, we will take $300 of the total cost for you. These cases sell new in our shop for $595.  It is the premium artist line- top case by Marco- with back straps, and maximum tear and scuff resistant.
