HOLTON

Holton TR183 Bass Trombone from the Early-Mid 1980's.  Has 9" Rose Brass Bell with .562 bore lightweight nickel silver handslide, single rotor F-attachment.  This is a single owner, mostly closet kept since the 1980's Holton Single Bass.  No previous damage or repairs.  Handslide inner slide plating is 100% and the tubes are perfectly straight and without issue. True that most younger Bass Trombonists today feel that they really do need 2 valves- Independent or even dependent.  But, players that have been around for a long time know that you don't always need two triggers to play the music in front of you.  This would be an ideal choice for a tenor player looking to double on bass, or an orchestra guy looking for that gorgeous Holton sound.  Even commercial style players would do well on this instrument, it's light and lively, but plays dark.   It will open up with lots of splash and color on the bottom end when you need it.  Would be an excellent big band horn.  This horn will get a once over and chemical bath prior to delivery.  In-stock.
