Holton TR158 Large Bore Tenor, Vintage 1980's Make SN 674025. Has detachable 9" rose brass bell flare. Large Bore Tenor .547, Nickel Silver Handslide. All original parts and lacquer. No dents or dings and has had full shop service here including chemical bath complete one over. Valve and slide both perform perfectly. No plating loss on inner slide tubes, nor any signs of previous damage. Takes standard large shank mouthpiece. Has original compact travel case for detachable bell. While some trombone manufacturers in recent years have just begun making detachable flare trombones, this model is the forerunner to current make trombones. It is in fact nice to have a detachable flare if traveling. Many players believe that the extra weight with the collar, translates into additional energy in sound, fantastic projection.
