Overview
This Vincent Bach New York Era 15C trombone mouthpiece was produced at the original New York factory prior to Bachβs early-1950s move to Mount Vernon. Mouthpieces from this period are respected for their traditional lathe-cut manufacturing and consistent playing characteristics associated with early Vincent Bach designs.
This example was gold plated, extremely clean, and came from a carefully kept estate collection. It was professionally inspected, cleaned, and polished at The Brass Exchange before sale, leaving the rim, cup, and shank in excellent playing condition.
The Bach 15C features a 24.40 mm rim diameter with a medium-shallow cup. It is slightly smaller than a 12C and noticeably smaller than an 11C, making it a comfortable option for players with thinner lip structure who want efficient response and clarity. Early Bach literature often described the 15C as a high-register-friendly mouthpiece with a focused tone.
