This Bach 6 3/4C small shank trombone mouthpiece is a clean Corporation Era example from an estate collection, offered in excellent condition. It shows little to no evidence of use and was likely played very lightly, if at all. The mouthpiece has been professionally chemical cleaned and silver polished, leaving the rim, cup, and shank clean, true, and fully player ready.
Manufactured at the Elkhart factory between approximately 1963 and the late 1970s, this mouthpiece was produced using traditional hand-lathe methods rather than modern CNC machining. Many players prefer these earlier Bach mouthpieces for their subtle variations in feel and response, which reflect older production techniques and a more hands-on manufacturing approach.
The 6 3/4C is a familiar and versatile design, commonly favored by players using small bore trombones for jazz, commercial, and light ensemble playing. This vintage Corporation-era example offers an excellent opportunity to experience a classic Bach mouthpiece in near-new condition.
