S.E. Shires Custom Series Tenor Trombone Leadpipe – Model M1 25 (.525 Bore, Small Shank, Standard Length)
Original S.E. Shires Custom Series leadpipe, Model M1 25 in standard brass, built for .525 bore medium-tenor trombones. This factory pipe is the small-shank version, designed for players who prefer a medium-bore setup while retaining their existing small-shank mouthpiece.
Shires is unique in offering .525 leadpipes that accept either small or large shank mouthpieces. Leadpipes stamped with a “T” on the top of the cap indicate the large-shank variant, while those without the “T,” like this one, are for small-shank use.
This leadpipe is in perfect condition with no dents, corrosion, or thread wear. Threads seat smoothly, the taper fits properly into standard Shires receivers, and the interior is clean and bright.
