CONN

This is a Conn 36H Eb alto trombone, featuring a yellow brass bell and gold brass handslide. The slide components are based on the iconic Conn 88H design but scaled down to suit the alto’s dimensions — offering precision and playability that many players find familiar and comfortable.

This particular example is in super mint condition, having been barely played by its original owner — a lifelong professional musician who clearly selected it with care. There are no mechanical issues whatsoever. The slide and valve both function flawlessly, and the instrument requires no service to improve appearance or playability.

Includes the pristine original Conn case and a mouthpiece. Truly a rare find for those seeking an American-made alto in this condition.

Why choose a Conn 36H for alto trombone work?
The Conn 36H offers a unique balance of traditional American brass craftsmanship and modern playability. Its gold brass slide gives it a slightly warmer tone and smooth response, while the yellow brass bell provides clarity and projection. For players transitioning from tenor, the 36H's familiar feel and .500-style slide geometry make it an ideal entry into the alto range without sacrificing sound quality.
