Premium Italian Protection for Detachable Bell Trombones

Expected Arrival: August 2026

We are now accepting pre-orders for our next shipment of Marco Magi NN Series screw bell tenor trombone cases, expected to arrive from Italy in August. Delivery timing is ideal for back-to-school, university, and fall performance season.

Handcrafted in Italy, the NN Series has become one of our most requested premium cases for detachable-bell tenor trombones. It combines outstanding protection, elegant styling, and practical everyday portability in a compact design trusted by serious players.

Why Players Choose the Marco Magi NN Series

Not every premium trombone case is built the same.

The Marco Magi NN Series offers a unique combination of refined Italian craftsmanship, compact dimensions, and practical features designed specifically for professional musicians. Unlike many premium cases, the NN Series uses durable keyed mechanical latches instead of exterior zippers, creating a cleaner appearance while eliminating one of the most common long-term failure points.

Its lightweight profile makes it equally comfortable for rehearsals, orchestra services, university campuses, airline travel, and everyday professional use.

Why Buy Your Marco Magi Case from The Brass Exchange?

We've worked with Marco Magi for many years and have helped numerous professional players select the correct case for their instruments.

Our experience extends well beyond simply selling cases. We've provided feedback that has resulted in practical refinements for our customers, including interior improvements and accommodation for certain longer slide configurations and specialized detachable bell instruments.

Every case is personally inspected before shipment, and if you have questions about fit, you'll speak directly with someone who understands professional trombonesβ€”not a general customer service representative.

Questions Players Often Ask

Will this fit my F-attachment trombone?

Yes. The NN Series is designed for both straight and F-attachment detachable bell tenor trombones.

Is a screw bell trombone the same as a detachable bell trombone?

Yes. Players commonly use the terms screw bell, detachable bell, and cut bell interchangeably.

Does this case have zippers?

No. The NN Series uses dual keyed mechanical latches instead of exterior zippers.

Will it fit Shires, Edwards, Yamaha, Bach, Conn, or Greenhoe?

In most cases, yes. If your instrument has a unique bell ring or slide configuration, simply contact us and we'll verify compatibility before ordering.

Is this suitable for airline travel?

Its compact design makes it an excellent travel case, although airline carry-on policies vary by carrier.

Founder Perspective

After working with premium trombone cases for many years, the Marco Magi NN Series continues to be one of my favorite designs for detachable bell tenor trombones. It offers an excellent balance of protection, weight, craftsmanship, and long-term reliability without unnecessary bulk.

Many of my customers appreciate the clean Italian styling, zipper-free construction, and thoughtful interior design. Just as importantly, I know how these cases fit real instruments because we've worked directly with players and with Marco Magi over many years to refine them.
