This Olds Fullerton CA Era F Alto Trombone from the 1960s is the first one we've encountered here at The Brass Exchange. Smaller than a standard Eb Alto trombone, this F Alto features its own special small shank mouthpiece. The F and C positions are in 1st position, making it unique compared to other alto trombones.

This horn is significantly smaller than a standard Eb Alto, providing a distinct sound and feel. It has never been damaged or repaired and is in excellent condition. The bell-to-slide connection is friction fit, maintaining a straightforward design. The outer slide and bell section are made of yellow brass, contributing to its warm tone.

The original case, though in perfect condition, has lost its handle over time. There are no service needs to improve the playability of this instrument—it's ready to go as is.
