This is a super mint pre-owned Edwards T-350-CR tenor trombone, originally purchased in 2014 and played very lightly over the past decade. The instrument comes from a single owner and has remained in exceptional condition, showing virtually no signs of wear. It features a 381CF 8.5" yellow brass bell, a gold brass tuning slide, and a .547 standard tenor handslide. The open wrap rotor section is fitted with the CR rotor, a custom design known for its smooth, efficient response and open feel.
The horn plays beautifully across all registersβresponsive and free-blowing, yet perfectly centered. The CR rotor has a buttery feel under the thumb and is equipped with a bullet brace-style thumb bar featuring a hardwood thumb rest, which matches the hardwood valve lever cover. These custom touches enhance comfort and add a refined aesthetic.
Slide action is superb, with no mechanical issues and no room for improvement. The handslide accepts Shires threaded leadpipes and includes an installed #2 pipe. We performed full shop service here, including a chemical bath and slide alignment to ensure top performance.
Included is a Marcus Bonna double tenor/alto case, valued at over $765 new. It offers excellent protection and portability with backpack straps and a compact design. Overall, this is a professional-level setup that would satisfy even the most demanding orchestral or solo players.
This Edwards T-350-CR trombone is now archived as a reference for advanced players exploring custom CR rotor configurations in the Edwards modular system.
