CONN

Conn 72H Bass Trombone, Single Rotor, Elkhart Era Bell Section. This listing includes only the bell section—no handslide or case. Serial number dates this to Conn’s classic Elkhart production period, known for its superb craftsmanship and signature large-bore orchestral tone.

This bell section was sold as-is. It remains in playable condition, though it shows signs of age and experience. There are areas of lacquer loss, cosmetic blemishes, and a few small dings and dents, but the bell stem and flare are straight with no major trauma. Structurally sound and responsive, it pairs well with any standard Conn bass trombone handslide, such as those from the 72H, 110H, or 62H series.

No major restoration was performed on this bell while in our possession. It was evaluated and play-tested to confirm sound performance, but cosmetic imperfections were left untouched to preserve its originality and affordability.

This bell would be a smart choice for a player looking to assemble a quality single-valve bass setup on a budget—or for collectors seeking authentic Elkhart components.

Can I use this 72H bell with other Conn slides like the 110H or 62H?
Yes, the Conn 72H bell section is compatible with most .562 bore Conn bass trombone handslides, including 110H, 72H, and 62H models. Proper alignment is recommended during setup.
