The Marco Magi NN Series remains one of the most refined universal trombone cases available today. The exterior uses textured black leather-like paneling with white accent stitching, creating a clean, understated look while keeping the structure rigid and protective. This particular example was a lightly used demo and trade-show special, taken out only a few times and showing no meaningful wear. At the time of sale, the original backpack straps were still sealed in their packaging.
Fit and compatibility are where the NN Series truly excels. Large-bore tenor trombones—with or without F-attachment—fit securely, and the interior accommodates open-wrap designs and longer F-slides such as the Bach 42BO, Shires Trubore valve, Conn Lindberg, Greenhoe, Hagmann, and similar configurations. The case also works well for compact bass models like the Olds George Roberts P-22 and can serve as a universal travel solution for smaller straight tenors including King 2B/3B and Bach 12/16.
The NN line avoids zippers entirely, relying instead on two heavy-duty locking flight latches that open and close quickly and eliminate long-term zipper failure points. The interior offers excellent organization, with a dedicated compartment beneath the bell section plus several open pockets for tuners, lubricants, mouthpieces, stand lights, glasses, or even a plunger mute. Backpack straps are heavily padded and balance nicely in a bell-down orientation, while the reinforced hand-carry handle feels solid and comfortable for players who prefer a traditional carry style.
