This Benge 165F large-bore tenor trombone, built in the 1980s, features an 8.5″ yellow-brass bell, a .547 large-bore handslide for large-shank mouthpiece, and an F-attachment with semi-open wrap. The instrument is all original parts and lacquer.

When originally listed, this example had received full professional shop service including cleaning and setup. It was structurally clean with no dents or slide issues and played evenly throughout the range. Case and mouthpiece were not included with this particular instrument.

The Benge 165F was designed as a dependable step-up or utility-grade large-bore tenor trombone. Many instruments from this period share design elements with King trombones due to shared suppliers, giving them a familiar response and feel.
