This S.E. Shires TW47 handslide is a Custom Series large bore tenor slide that was used only as a shop demo. It is in perfect condition, super straight, with fast, smooth action that represents the best of Shires craftsmanship.
The TW47 model features yellow brass standard-weight outer tubes with a wide crook, offering excellent stability and projection. This example includes one #2 removable leadpipe, though substitutions were available at the time of sale upon request.
As a shop demo, this slide was barely played, making it essentially like new in both feel and appearance. Performance-wise, it offered the precise, free-blowing response that professional players expect from Shires Custom Series components.
