CONN

This vintage Conn 48H Connstellation was made in 1970 in Elkhart, Indiana, and represents one of Conn’s most refined small bore jazz trombones. With a .500 bore and 8" nickel silver bell, it shares many specs with the legendary 6H Rosolino model, but with a more elaborate build β€” particularly in the decorative bracing found on both the bell and the handslide.

The bell is unsoldered, which enhances resonance, and the nickel silver material contributes to a tone that is slightly darker and more focused than traditional yellow brass. Paired with the gold brass slide, this model is especially well-balanced and ideal for players seeking clarity, warmth, and ease of response at higher dynamics.

The ergonomics are excellent β€” this model feels very comfortable in hand and plays freely across all registers. It’s a strong choice for straight-ahead jazz, commercial work, or mic’d settings where both tone and style matter. This horn is in great shape and requires no additional service. A new Protec case is included.
