KANSTUL

Kanstul 1670 "George Roberts" Single Valve Bass Trombone.
This instrument features a 9" one-piece bronze bell and a gold brass tuning-in-slide (T.I.S.) handslide—very reminiscent of the legendary Conn 62H. If there were ever an ideal bass trombone for a tenor doubler in a big band, or for someone learning bass who wants to avoid the extra weight on the left shoulder and arm—this is it.

This particular horn was a single-owner instrument, purchased directly from Kanstul and made by Zig himself. It's in superb condition, with no flaws or defects, and has received our full shop service including chemical bath and final adjustments for peak playability.

Includes a super rare and exceptionally clean black leather Reunion Blues case—a collector’s item in itself. Also includes three removable leadpipes.

Few of these instruments were ever made, and even fewer come to market in this condition. Back when they were still available new, dealers were selling this model for over $3,600.

A fantastic opportunity for a serious player, doubler, or collector seeking a high-performance single-valve bass with a legendary legacy.
