This S.E. Shires T0-08 trombone slide was a demo unit for small bore tenor trombones. Barely played and in perfect condition, it offered smooth action and precise response that demonstrated the high standards of Shires craftsmanship.
The T0-08 model is designed to fit all Shires small bore tenors and includes three removable leadpipes, giving players flexibility to adjust resistance, articulation, and tonal focus. This modular feature has become one of Shires’ hallmarks, allowing musicians to tailor their setups with remarkable precision.
The Brass Exchange is proud to be an Authorized S.E. Shires Pro Shop, which means we offer access to Boston-made Custom Series components like this. Unlike standard Shires dealers, who are limited to the factory-built Q Series, Pro Shops specialize in the full Custom Shop line, helping players refine and customize their setups at a professional level.
This T0-08 slide has since been sold and is preserved here in our Archive of Sold Instruments & Components as a reference for musicians researching Shires small bore components.
