This is a Yamaha YBL-620G bass trombone in excellent pre-owned condition. It was a single-owner instrument, played for less than two years and never damaged or repaired. The 620G features a 9.5" gold brass bell, a dependent rotor valve section in F, and a lightweight .562 bore handslide — giving it the response and resonance that Yamaha is known for, without the heavier feel of some large orchestral setups.
This model is an ideal choice for advancing players making the transition to bass trombone. Whether you're coming from a straight tenor or a smaller F-attachment horn, the 620G offers a smooth on-ramp to bass playing, with a familiar Yamaha slide feel and responsive valve action.
Cosmetically, the horn looks terrific. The only visible wear is a lacquer defect at the top of the handslide near the mouthpiece receiver — a common issue in this model and not related to damage or misuse. This spot can be professionally buffed and touched up upon request. Otherwise, the bell, tuning slides, rotor section, and bracing are all in excellent condition.
