JUPITER
XO

This XO Jupiter 1236-O tenor trombone is a pre-owned professional model in excellent playing condition. Serial number WB05188. It was recently serviced prior to being traded in and has seen careful use with no signs of damage or neglect. The slide is fast and responsive, the rotor valve operates smoothly, and the overall feel of the instrument is balanced and confident.

The 1236-O features an open wrap F-attachment for improved airflow and reduced resistance, paired with an 8.5" yellow brass bell and a standard weight .547 bore handslide. The slide fits large shank mouthpieces and includes three removable leadpipes for further customization of blow and resistance. The original XO mouthpiece is included as well.

This model is ideal for the advancing student or developing player looking to skip the step-up category and move directly into a full professional-grade instrument. New, this model sells in the $3,000–$3,800 range. This example offered outstanding value at nearly half the price and without any compromises in condition or playability.

Is the XO 1236-O a good choice for students upgrading to a pro-level trombone?
Yes — this model is often recommended for players transitioning from intermediate instruments. The open wrap design, large bore slide, and responsive bell give it the feel and tonal depth of more expensive professional horns, while still being approachable for younger or advancing musicians.
