SELMER

Selmer Signet Medium Bore .525 Straight Tenor.  Has 8" Yellow Brass Bell, similar specs to the Bach 36.  This horn is from the 1960's.  Was originally introduced as an intermediate level horn, but the quality of materials and craftsmanship in those days was quite a bit different than what we see in intermediate models today.  I would say that it is on par with most of the Pro level Conn-Slemer trombones today.  This would definitely be a great starter horn for a kid today.  The bore size is large than the typical .500 bore starter horns we see today.  It is .525, which will produce a much fuller sound.  This horn plays terrific and would be an excellent choice for any young player student or adult.  Handslide action is suberb and the horn is without any mechanical issues.  Case included.  Play Vintage!
