Selmer K-Modified 23 Paris Vintage SN 2941. Most likely made in the 1950s, this horn features all original parts and lacquer and has never been damaged or repaired. Itโs a super nice small bore trombone, equipped with a 7" yellow brass bell and a .490 bore standard weight slide. The tone is crisp, focused, and ideal for lead, jazz, or commercial players looking for something a little off the beaten path. All original parts and lacquer. No major dents or dings, a small ding on the bottom slide end crook, not too bad, but difficult to remove.
We havenโt seen many of these at The Brass Exchange over the past 10 years. The build quality and originality are exceptional, making it a standout option for anyone who typically plays a 2B but wants something with French character and a little extra personality.
Are vintage trombones better than the ones made today? That depends on what youโre afterโbut horns like this Selmer K-Modified make a strong case. The craftsmanship, tonal color, and player feedback on these older models have stood the test of time.
Includes a vintage black leather Reunion Blues case, made in San Francisco, in excellent condition with soft interior and classic style. A rare find.
