Offered here is a complete custom S.E. Shires bass trombone setup, featuring Boston-made components with a blend of lightly used and new parts. This configuration includes premium, professional-grade pieces well-known among bass trombonists for their responsiveness, tonal depth, and flexibility.
The bell section is a 10" gold brass BII 1G, offering a rich, broad tone with a solid core—perfect for symphonic and large ensemble work. Paired with the B62G handsilde and a standard yellow brass B tuning slide, this setup provides excellent clarity and slotting across all registers.
The valve section is a standard independent rotor setup, custom configured to Gb/D tuning, providing excellent flexibility in the low register and an open blow. The valve section and handslide are brand new, while the bell and main tuning slide are lightly used but in excellent condition. The instrument comes with one removable leadpipe. Case not included.
