King 2B Silversonic. Bell section is most likely 1950's, no serial number. Sterling silver bell with gold wash inner, and gold plating on tuning slide and neckpipe. Modern King Balance weight. Modern make hand slide with black lacquer finish endcrook. Is standard yellow brass underneath the finish. Slide is in perfect condition, minimal signs of use, no wear spots. King trombones through the years have interchangeable bell-slide receivers by model. Which means, you can put a newer slide on an older bell like this one. We did full shop service on the entire instrument, including chemical bath. It plays beautifully and is without issue. Would be a great lead horn for big band, or use in a horn section like Trombone/Sax/Trpt. Enormous energy out front with the sterling silver bell. Excellent choice for a college player looking for something reliable with a proven track record. Includes non-original King coffin style case.
