GREENHOE

Greenhoe GC-4-1Y Tenor Trombone.  Recent make, demo model.  Is in perfect condition, just like a brand new one, no flaws or issues, perfect lacquer, perfect slide.  Includes factory case.  Only 1 leadpipe included, does not have mouthpiece.  This is the model that is based roughly on a Conn 88H.  Has 8.5" Yellow Brass Bell, Lightweight, Unsoldered rim, just like vintage Conn's.  Handslide is .547 straight bore, standard weight, gold brass tubes with nickel oversleeves, and nickel endcrook, is wider than a vintage Conn slide, approx Bach 42 width.  This instrument plays fantastic and has both a gorgeous sound as well as stunning appearance.  No details were spared with the design and fabrication of this instrument.  Is all Amercian Made.

The Brass Exchange is an authorized Schilke-Greenhoe dealer, https://www.greenhoe.com/dealers/ The original Greenhoe make trombones were good, but since Schilke bought the company a number of years ago, they are now producing trombones that are in a league of their own, definitely in line with the quality trumpets that Schilke has been known for making over the past 60 years.

This would be an excellent choice for a pro player looking to depart from other U.S. makers.  Personally, I love the way these horns play.  The pitches are exactly where they should be.  This model has a light bell which affords enormous tonal flexibility.  Paired with the gold brass handslide, it produces a series of complex overtones, not overly dominated by high frequencies.  The Back Back Style Case, All Leather, Similar to Marcus Bonna, is also gorgeous and very light weight.  Ideal for travel, walking long distances, yet elegant in appearance and super protection. We think you will love it.

Our price is a demo discounted price, the current MAP pricing for this model is $5555, and we are expecting a 2023 increase.
