Kanstul Model 1680 F/C/Db/A contrabass trombone. Comes with two mouthpieces and a black leather Cronkhite case with adjustable backpack straps. It looks showroom new, but plays even better thanks to a full pro-shop setup. Features a 40+" nickel silver handslide with collar and removable leadpipe. Dual bore design (.562–.608) with independent Kanstul valves in the bell section. The ergonomics are excellent and highly adjustable. Too bad Kanstul isn’t around anymore—while the company is no longer in business, this amazing contrabass trombone lives on in our archive, preserved in perfect condition. Built in the USA. Previous owner is a well-known musician who recently recorded Star Wars music. Includes Ferguson 2A and Kanstul 2A mouthpieces, retailing at $140 and $120. The Cronkhite leather case alone sells new today for $633 to $800, and this one is like new—only lightly used. If Kanstul were still producing, this instrument without case would retail at $8190. Total estimated value including case and mouthpieces is over $9000. You won’t see another one of these anytime soon—super rare and in perfect condition.
