Conn 8HT straight tenor bell section only. Handslide not included. This bell was most likely made in the 1990s — dating modern Conn instruments precisely can be difficult, but this example represents a beautiful era of production.

The 8HT bell section is designed as a straight large bore tenor setup, with no F attachment, offering maximum openness and a free-blowing feel. The bell is 8.5" rose brass, following the classic Conn 8H design, but built using a thinner wall gauge alloy to create a more responsive and flexible playing experience.

A thin wall rose brass bell is known for its warmth, depth, and richness, while also allowing a player to push for more brilliance when needed. This makes it an ideal choice for players who want to maintain warmth and blend in ensemble settings but still have the ability to project in solo passages or lead roles.

This bell section is compatible with all Conn 88H or 8H handslides, making it a versatile option for players looking to expand or customize their setup.

This bell section arrived in very clean condition and has no service needs to improve appearance or playability. There are no signs of previous damage or repairs, and it remains gig-ready and reliable. It would be a great choice for any 88H or 8H player interested in pairing a straight, non-F attachment bell with their current slide.
