Overview

This Bach Stradivarius Model 37 ML Bb trumpet, serial number 432240, was a single-owner instrument from the mid-1990s and represented a clean example of one of the most trusted professional trumpet designs ever produced. Built during a strong period of Bach production, it reflected the familiar centered response, balanced resistance, and dependable slotting that have made the Model 37 a standard across orchestral, jazz, studio, and teaching environments.

The horn showed responsible use with no history of damage or repair and retained its original playing character. It was a particularly nice 1990s Bach 37 that played exactly as experienced players expect β€” familiar, reliable, and musically flexible.

Player Perspective

The #37 bell taper remains Bach’s most versatile design. Response is immediate without feeling edgy, articulation stays clean, and the horn maintains warmth even when pushed. The ML (.459") bore gives a balanced feel that supports projection while keeping stability through the middle register.

Many players specifically seek out well-preserved 1990s Bach trumpets because they maintain traditional Bach playing characteristics with consistent build quality. This instrument confirmed why the Model 37 continues to be the benchmark professional Bb trumpet for generations of players.
