This Bach 24W tuba and sousaphone mouthpiece is a versatile silver-plated model well suited to student, school-band and general-purpose playing. It has a 31.25 mm cup diameter, medium cup depth and wide, rounded rim. Compared with the deeper Bach 24AW, the 24W offers a lively response that can be easier for a developing player to manage.
This example has been carefully cleaned and hand polished. The silver plate is in excellent condition, and the rim, cup and shank are clean, round and free of damage. It is ready for immediate use on a standard modern tuba or sousaphone receiver.
New silver-plated Bach tuba mouthpieces currently sell for approximately $109. This used 24W offers a high-school student, returning player or school music department a genuine Bach mouthpiece at a substantial savings from current new retail pricing.
