Overview
This vintage Elkhart-era Conn 6H jazz trombone, serial number 786318, dates to circa 1959. It retains all original parts and original lacquer, with the classic 8-inch yellow brass bell and .500-inch bore that make the 6H one of our favorite Conn models at The Brass Exchange.
This is a player-grade instrument, priced accordingly and ready for the gig. Full shop service is complete, and a factory-new Gator case is included.
Condition
Full shop service at The Brass Exchange is complete, and this Conn 6H is player-ready. We performed a complete chemical bath, overall inspection, water key pad replacement, handslide adjustment, and play-testing. The instrument is free of dents and dings.
The handslide is very good, with excellent alignment. A few areas of smooth, early plating wear are present on the inner slide tubes. The tuning slides move easily, and a mouthpiece seats properly in the original leadpipe.
All parts and lacquer are original. The lacquer shows surface scratches, age spots, and normal wear consistent with its age. This is a player-grade instrument, priced accordingly.
