Overview
The Getzen Eterna II Model 725 is a versatile B-flat/F tenor trombone designed for the advancing player. It combines an 8.5-inch gold brass bell and open-wrap F attachment with a .525/.547 dual-bore handslide and small-shank mouthpiece receiver.
From a distance, the 725 has the appearance and overall profile of a full-size .547-bore symphonic tenor. The difference is in the handslide. Its .525 upper tube provides a more manageable response, while the .547 lower tube allows the instrument to retain breadth and stability. This makes it an excellent transition instrument for a player moving beyond a smaller student trombone.
This pre-owned example is exceptionally clean, fully serviced, and player-ready. It would be an excellent first F-attachment trombone for a developing middle school or high school player.
Condition & Shop Service
The entire instrument has received a complete professional shop service, including a chemical bath, inspection, rotor service, and proper reassembly. The rotor was removed, the casing was cleaned and polished, and the linkage was carefully assembled and adjusted. Valve action is quick, quiet, and working exactly as it should.
The handslide is excellent, with proper alignment and smooth action. There is only minimal lacquer wear on the handslide and bell section. The instrument has no dents or dings and presents extremely well throughout.

A Versatile Step-Up Trombone
The dual-bore handslide is what makes the Getzen 725 especially useful for a developing player. It provides a natural step forward from a smaller student trombone without requiring an immediate move to a full .547-bore handslide and large-shank mouthpiece.
The small-shank receiver also allows the player to continue using familiar mouthpiece dimensions. A small-shank Bach 6.5AL or comparable mouthpiece would be an excellent starting point for this instrument.
With its 8.5-inch bell, open-wrap F attachment, and dual-bore slide, the 725 is adaptable to concert band, orchestra, jazz band, lessons, and general ensemble playing. It is substantial enough to support an advancing player while remaining responsive and approachable.
Case & Accessories
The original lightweight blue Getzen case is included and remains in very good condition. It is clean, the zippers work properly, and the Getzen logo remains visible. A mouthpiece is not included.
