Conn Director Vintage Bb Trumpet. This is an Elkhart-made model from the 1960s, during a time when Conn was producing some of the most reliable student and intermediate brass instruments in the United States. We performed a full shop service, including chemical bath, dent removal, new water key pads, valve felts, springs, a complete inspection, and thorough play test. It plays properly, just as it did in the 1960s when it was originally used by students and marching bands across the country.

There is moderate lacquer wear throughout, which is typical for a horn of this age. However, the critical parts that affect playability are in excellent condition. The piston valves show no plating loss and have smooth, reliable action. The mouthpipe is straight, and a mouthpiece inserts correctly without any issues.
This trumpet is still a good, fully playable horn that offers excellent value. It’s ideal as a marching band trumpet, or as a school backup horn for days when you can’t bring your main instrument.
