Sell Used Brass
Sell Direct Or Sell On Consignment
If you have decided that you are ready to sell a used instrument, what's your next step? Craigslist? Ebay? Auction Sites?
One of the problems with trying to sell a pre-owned instrument online today is that there is a lot of chaos on the internet. Auction websites can be good for people that do it all the time, but, for others it can be very time consuming, not to mention all of the little fees that add up quickly. We strive to simplify the process and make it easy, so that you receive a fair price for your instrument. We offer you two options to work directly with us.
Sell Direct To Us
We can take the hassle out of selling an instrument on your own, by purchasing it directly from you. If it is an instrument that we are interested in, will make an offer to buy it from you. We will even help you with shipping. The best part is that you will get paid quickly. To get started, please fill out the Exchange-Brass form, or give us a call. Note: Every request for a direct sale to The Brass Exchange will be reviewed on an individual basis, and that we cannot promise to make an offer on every request. However, we are still happy to speak with you about your situation and make a recommendation that will assist you in making the best decision.
Sell On Consignment
Send it to us and we will take care of the rest. We make it easy for people to buy from us because we take trades, and have multiple payment options for buyers. If your insrument is in need of repair don't worry. We can help with repairs prior to listing your instrument. To get started, please fill out the Exchange-Brass form, or give us a call. We will even help you with shipping. Our Consignment Fee is 15% of the total sale, less expenses such as shipping in, repair or cleaning if applicable and approved of in advance.
We know that you like shopping for used instruments. We do too! It's fun, but it's also a business. We understand how frustrating it can be, when using message boards, forums and email, especially when dealing with out of state buyers. The communication level isn't always straight forward and fast. It is different at The Brass Exchange. We have a reputation as being honest and fair. If something isn't right, we will do our best make it right.
We advertise on the internet and have a strong presence. Our customer base is growing rapidly, which means that your horn will be more likely to be seen by prospective buyers, and that you will have a better chance of selling it quickly.
We will photograph the horn and list it for you on our website. We will provide a comprehensive description and review of the horn, highlighting it's features and attributes. We will speak with buyers on the telephone about your instrument and do our best to represent it honestly.
If you decide that you want your horn back, simply notify us and it will be shipped back to you, and we will cancel the consignment agreement.
